Surfing The Lerez
Surfing The Lerez is a music festival held for the first time in the city in 2011. Since its third edition this musical event of the city takes place in the surroundings of the Illa das Esculturas. It usually celebrates its concerts in the month of June. It has a large and loyal audience thanks to a line-up that includes live music throughout the day, a children’s area for the little ones, numerous entertainment activities and a market, in exchange for a solidarity ticket consisting of a donation of food for the needy.

Children’s and Young People’s Book Fair
The Children’s and Young People’s Book Fair of Pontevedra is an annual event, usually held in April, with the world of books and is experienced in a unique way in the city. Books are the absolute protagonists of this cultural project that seeks to bring children, boys and girls closer to literature in a warm, pleasant and instructive way.
Exhibitions, exhibitions, artistic interventions, workshops, courses, conferences, meetings, tributes to authors, book presentations, theatrical and musical performances and storytelling sessions make up a range of different activities involving schools, institutions, groups of all kinds and citizens of all ages. It has been held since 1999 and its headquarters, since its inception, is the Pazo da Cultura.
Culturgal
This annual event, usually held in November or December, brings together major representatives of the Galician cultural industries at the city’s exhibition centre. Its objective each year is to facilitate the participation of companies, creators, professionals and audiences, and to stimulate the purchase of cultural products. The most representative associations of the sector are part of Culturgal: Asociación Galega de Editores (AGE), Asociación Galega de Empresas de Artes Escénicas (Escena Galega), Asociación Galega de Empresas Musicais (AGEM), Empresas Galegas Dedicadas a Internet e las Nuevas Tecnologías (Eganet), Asociación Galega de Productoras Independentes (Agapi).
Pontevedra Jazz and Blues Festival
Every year, since 1993, this jazz festival is held in Pontevedra during the second half of July. It features artists of jazz, blues and related genres, such as rhythm & blues and soul. The concerts take place in the Teucro and Herrería squares. There are also itinerant performances in the streets, jam sessions and educational activities with workshops in which guest musicians and musicians from the country collaborate. It is currently one of the best in Galicia.
Jazz is a style of music already deeply rooted in the city, in fact there is a Permanent Jazz Seminar in Pontevedra that has been training future musicians for thirteen years and has energized this style in society.

Itineranta
Itineranta is a festival of travelling street performances whose first edition took place in 2010. It has already become a regular event in Pontevedra’s festive summer programme. A selection of the best companies flood the streets and squares of the city with their proposals of the performing arts – juggling, juggling, theater, cabaret, batucada, performance, fire, pyrotechnics … – for the celebration of the largest Festival of Itinerant Street Shows.

Galegote Rock
Galegote Rock is a festival where the Galician language and music are the main protagonists. Organized by the City Council of Pontevedra, it aims to publicize performers and music groups of different styles and bring the public a wide range of quality music, made in Galician and live. It is usually held in April.
